This is merely the continuation of a rumor that was started at about the time of the US occupation of the Philippines. It gained popularity after 9/11, but for the most part it is not a credible story.

No, but during the height of the British Empire, the bullets for breach-loading rifles had a pig-fat based lubricant. The rifleman would have to bite the paper wrapper off of the end before loading the bullet into the rifle. This caused problems amongst the ranks of Muslim riflemen conscripted into British military service.

This is one of the oldest propaganda tricks in the book. When the British Army was in India in the early 1900's, such a rumour was spread by the enemy that the paper wraps of gunpowder for the single shot rifles given to the Indians who were fighting with the British, were greased with pig fat. Months later the rumour was changed to cows fat. Both misinformation's worked for a long time. May I suggest that there is no truth whatsoever in the rumour.......

I doubt it, it would make the tomahawk a very inefficient weapon.
They may have drawn a pig on the missile, but it is very very very unlikely that there was actual pig lard in any US weapons.

no, just bullets fired from the M-16 and machine guns. We do however wrap all at-4 warheads in bacon and the hand grenades our guys use are made from pig guts.

Tomohawk missiles don't fly correctly when contaminated with foreign substances. They would never foil the mission to play a childish prank.

I don't think so. They (coalition forces) save it for small arms ammo.
