I really like math because I like to solve puzzles, but I am really pretty terrible at it. I try very hard and make a B (I am past college now, and only took College Algebra). Just trying gets me C's. Which I know is not bad, but I would like to be better. I think I just rush too much, but also it is like there is something in my head where I just don't understand how to do it. Like a barrier preventing my neurons from connecting, lol. Any advice?

Study on your own. If u have a math book that has examples and anserws in the back of the book use it. When it shows examples make sure you look and understand the steps to it. That way you will know exactly y what to do. And if it has the anserws on the back of the book use that to. Go to the problem and try working on it on your own and see if you got the same anserw as the one on the book. If you dont try it again and if that doesnt help then ask a teacher or someone good in math to tell you what you are doing wrong. Thats what I do and it works really well.

Ask for a tutor, look up some books on math tricks that will speed up your calculations, but above all just keeping doing more problems because the more problems you solve the better you should eventually get at it. Do a LOT of problems - its the only way to prove your math proficiency and learn how to solve problems that have "curve balls" in them. Good luck!

It relies upon on what you propose by making use of your math skills - in case you propose common computations (+ -- / x), then math puzzles would desire to help somewhat, yet you incredibly purely could carry out a little issues - whether it would not could propose which you take a seat there and write them out by making use of hand. each and every time you pass right into a keep to purchase issues, try to upload up the fee on your head and then paintings out the revenues tax, finally - try to parent what your substitute would be - that will boost all your common math skills.

3. Practice daily.
4. Seek help from your teachers/tutors in case of difficulties.

Practice practice practice, the more mat you do the more you fel comfortable thinking in terms of numbers. simple calculations become intuitive. For example, I was in the grocery store yesterday and was able to tell that a supposed "sale" item was really not any cheaper at all without having to actually do the calculations.

I had the same problem and i found someone to explain it to me in a way that I can understand it. But wasn't enough, I also had to solve a lot - and I mean A LOT - of math problems to improve my grades. But I did it eventually.
