Congrat's DAD!! Well you can get a test done WHILE she is pregnant, however that could/can cause complications,so I would personally wait till after the baby is born, but get the hospital to do it right away. Until then be there for her, support her,go with her to the appointment's,etc as it MAY turn out to be your baby and if not you may decide you love her and the kid so much you want to be there for them anyway's! Good luck & I hope the test turn's out the way you want!

You can have a test as soon as the baby is born providing that the DNA is extracted from saliva. If you choose to use blood then I would wait until the baby is 4-6 months old.

You can have an amnio done while she is pregnant (1 in 200 chance of miscarriage though) or you can wait till the baby is born and have a dna test done...its just a cheek swab.

At about ten weeks gestation the doctor can do chorionic villus sampling and it can be evaluated for paternity at that time, providing the mother is willing. All those decisions are hers and hers only to make. The only role you have in this particular transaction is the willingness to pay for the test. Your rights are limited, in the current culture. If it is yours, you will have the right, nay the judicial duty, to pay child support for the next eighteen years or so.

You cant test while pregnant. It has to be after the baby is born. And then it isn't a blood test anymore, they test cells from the inside of the cheek.

I wouldn't recommend testing during preg. It carries risk to baby and is more expensive than the testing after birth. You can do it after the baby is born. But mom has to agree and you better be ready to foot the bill.....it's not cheap. Good luck

You can actually get on while she is still pregnant but it is rare because they don't do amniocentesis for just a paternity test. So you will have to wait until the baby is born.
Good luck to you.

You can test as soon as the baby is born. They do a DNA saliva test by rubbing a cotton swab inside of the baby's mouth & inside of yours.
