My toshiba Satellite Laptop wont start at all.?

and by that i mean no sign of life...is it battery failure ?....no lights no beeping nothing. just lying in my room like a piece of wood.

Try plugging it into the AC Adapter without the battery in and see if it starts up...if not, it might be the motherboard.
