Sometimes you have to actually crack open your computer's case and look at the motherboard to get the model number. Sometimes you can't find that out through the software on your computer. (Sometimes you can though.)

What you should do is to download from the Internet some software called "Si Soft Sandra". Install it, and then let it tell you everything you ever wanted to know about your system and its present configuration, performance, tips for improvement, and suitable tests for all parts of the system.
