I'm assuming you've seen a doctor. If you can, I would do that.

A yeast infection can be caused by a number of things. Too much sugar in your diet, wearing non-cotton underwear, wearing underwear too tight. Only a doctor can adequately diagnosis and treat your specific yeast infections, and if you've had two in a month you really need to go see a doctor.

Good luck. :)

Vaginal yeast infection is caused by an overgrowth of yeast organisms that normally live in small numbers in the vagina. Factors that encourage an excess growth of vaginal yeast include:

Using antibiotics.
Having high estrogen levels (hyperestrogenemia), such as during pregnancy, hormone replacement therapy (HRT or ERT) use, high-dose birth control pill use, and the follicular phase of the menstrual cycle. 1
Having diabetes, especially if your blood sugars are not well controlled and tend to be high.
Having an impaired immune system.
Using corticosteroids, such as prednisone.
Being overweight.
Having the genital area exposed to moisture for a long period of time (for example, wearing a wet bathing suit all day) or living in a warm, humid climate.
Using an intrauterine device (IUD).
Having a sex partner with symptoms of yeast infection (very rare).

It can be a reaction to something you are eating too I believe or the type underwear youare wearing. I have found out (much to my dismay) that I cannot wear underwear without a cotton crotch or I get a yeast infection. At your health food store they have enzymes and different things you can take for yeast infection, also you might want to call your Dr to see what he suggests. I usually take a nice warm bath and put some apple cider vinegar in the water when I have a yeast infection and then soak a long time.....it helps a lot as vinegar (apple cider) is very good for any type of sking problems. good luck

chances are it didn't go away completely the 1st time so the bacteria regrew... were u taking antibiotics 4 it?
it may be an STD that has the symptoms of a yeast infection or it could simply be a huge change in diet, stress level, u wearing tight clothes more than usual? appearently that causes yeast infections... Really, it doesnt hurt to go see a doc. it's better to be safe than sorry.

Well, in a purely clinical response, as I hope you will take this, there are three or four things I can think of that could cause this problem. One is oral sex. Another is not properly washing one's hand thoroughly before touching the area, or in the case of intercourse, such other cleanliness on your partner's part as I am sure you will understand without further description, particularly if he is uncircumcised. Still another source of problems is one's own urine, particularly if it has a low acid content, as acid tends to make the habitat for yeast infections sufficiently inhospitable as to stave off the problem.

A common preventative for yeast infections is drinking a fair amount of cranberry juice, as it will increase the acidity of your urinary output.

If the other two sources are possibilities, asking your consort to use mouthwash, wash his hands, and other parts as required could go a long way to prevention.

Hi!
First thing, DON'T PANIC! Yeast build up is normal in any woman's life, everyone will get it a couple of times in their life unless they are perfect in everyway (and let's face it none of us are).
Usually you'll find the problem clears up itself if you drink more water and ditch the pop and coffee and change to cotton boy shorts, knickers or *Ominous theme* Granny pants. Ditch the thongs and Gs for now as they rub really hard wiht little give and can make the situation worse. Also avoid any form of sex for about a week. It should clear itself up by then!
Hope this Helps!

You are taking care of the problem right? You need to ask yourself if you have changed anything this last month in your diet/clothes/detergent.... It could be anything- mabye the panties that had the bacteria on them wern't completley dead and gave it to you again or the sheets on your bed. Eat yougurt with LIVE CULTURESto help replish your body with the right nutrients to make the 'right' bacteria that will fight off the bad ones! Oh yeah- the doc is the fail safe plan- but GIRLLL you be fine! You just gotta put a little hate on it.

2nd time on a month probably means you didn't clear it up enough the first time, or your partner gave it back to you. Are you possibly pregnant? The 3 times I had them, one was antibiotics(they don't tell you what to do incases of extreme itching - and I was young) , one I was prego and things changed, and 3 was summer and I atribute it to bathing suits and my hubby. Go get your gyno exam, pap test, and find out for sure , or you may find out too late you are unable to have children - and that would be really sad!

yeast infections can be caused by alot of things .. even jeans that are too tight.. you should see your Dr to see if you do need antibiotics so that it can go away completely if your using the creams maybe they are not that effective and it keeps returning... good luck

You should be checked for diabetes assuming it is a yeast infection... if you're not sure it is thrush, then you should have a swab done too to rule out other causes of vag discharge such as bacterial vaginosis.
