This is an interesting question. I'd have to say yes and no. It was always my dream to be a teacher. However, I hated being away from home and I was so in love with my husband (then boyfriend), that I dropped out of college. I've never made it back and I'm now almost 40. Now, on the flip side of that, I'm married to that very same man for going on 18 years, together for 21 years. He's got an excellent career in the Army. Which, if everything goes as expected, he'll retire in 2 years. I've stood by his side and support him all the way. I believe in him and us. We also have a daughter that's about to turn 9. She's absolutely beautiful and brilliant. She's my life!! So, in a way, I still turned out to be a teacher because she loves to learn. We do school work together all the time, outside of her homework. In that way, my dream as come true.

Most importantly, I wouldn't change a thing. I'd live this life all over again....good and bad. I'm happy and blessed. Nothing else matters!!

Up to this point in my life, I'd have to say "no". My life has been much more difficult and perplexing than I thought it would be. Things I thought would happen in my life haven't, and things I didn't think would happen in my life have. In the middle of all that though, have been and continue to be some pretty wonderful experiences...and alot of blessings.

Your question reminds of one of the bookmarks I'm using with a book I'm currently reading - "...life is what happens when you're busy making other plans."

Great question!

No... better. I envisioned myself being stuck in my home town and running the family business. Expect the worst and you'll never be disappointed.

Nope.

Still trying to make the changes I want- and when I get there I will probably make more changes.

Life is a journey, not a destination.

Sorta. And better. We can never know the future, only daydream. Reality is was we get and what we really need.
