nope. u don't need a passport to travel to canada. u will, however, soon need a passport to get back into the us.

Not in Nov. 2006. Do have two forms of government issued id like a birth certificate WITH A RAISED SEAL, SS card, and drivers liscense. The problem isn't crossing the border from the US. It's always come back into the US where the officials hold people up. If you have a passport that is the only ID they need.
