To davidg32--SLC is nowhere near the top 10 largest American cities. In the 2000 census, it was smaller than several of the nations suburbs (e.g., Mesa, Arizona).
To slippiefist, New Orleans, especially after Katrina, is also nowhere near the top 10.
Overall, I'd say that the listing makes some sense. The top 10 cities, in order, are:
New York City
Los Angeles
Chicago
Houston
Philadelphia
Phoenix
San Antonio
San Diego
Dallas
San Jose
I probably would have expected Philadelphia, Phoenix, or Houston to make be the most dangerous, but I'm not floored.

Yeah, I'm surprised about New York being the safest but not at all surprised about Dallas having the highest crime rate. I live about 3 hours away from Dallas and NEVER go there because it's scary!

confident and no. I propose the completed inhabitants of Canada is regarding the comparable as la county. So that's totally distinctive. yet confident we've low fee housing slums too. however the quantity of human beings would not be almost the comparable.
