I got a 100% linen shirt for my birthday but it's too big. I can't exchange it so my only option is to shrink it in the wash or something. Anybody know how I would go about this without destroying it?

Hey Rishi,, it depends on what part of the shirt is to big. You might have it tailored or you can soak it in very hot water to shrink it.
Good luck!

Hot water shrinks things, but depending on the care instructions, it may not be washable. If it is, soak it in the hottest water you can find -maybe boil some on the stove and let the shirt sit there for a while and see what happens.

I hate linen. It has to be ironed and it is very hard to get the wrinkles out. I avoid it like the plague.

Good luck- you may want to re-gift this item if you can.
