I have a Boxer who is always happy, loves to run and play, is always happy to see me, and just has mannerisms that make me laugh. She is a source of unconditional love and constant entertainment . She actually makes me happier and better than I might otherwise be, because I'll be damned If I'm gonna let a dog be a better person than I am!!

Very much so...my horses were my therapy when my mother was ill and then passed. My dogs pull me out of bad days.
Dogs are: beauty w/o vanity
strength w/o insolence
courage w/o ferocity, and
all the virtues of man w/o his vices

I have 2 cats and 3 dogs. I call them my boys. They are my little buddies. I wouldn't trade any of them for the world. They are always happy to see us and they always love us no matter what.......I think it's so funny when my kids control the dogs......talk about love and devotion.

Yes, for the reasons you mentioned. However, my dogs are better people than I am, even though one of them pees in the living room every day.
