Keep quiet and say nothing! Probably be the tastiest meal they've had in ages!! What they don't know won't hurt them and all that, as well as they are forcing their beliefs onto you by making you cook a specific meal for them. How much meat can a chicken stock cube actually contain? Could just be flavouring like chicken crisps.

Most chicken stock cubes have no real chicken in them, just a bunch of chemicals to taste like chicken. Say nothing.

Don't say anything. Chances are the chicken stock cube is "simulated chicken flavour". If there was chick essence, it's not going to kill them. Politely finish the night, the usher your moraly superior friends in to their leather shoes and home in their SUV.

I would say nothing. After all you have tried your best and if the vegan comments just say it was a vegetable cube you used. It's not as if you did it on purpose.

It't not likely she will eat the entire veggie dish, so therefore she
isn't getting much of the stock. Let it go, she may get a taste of
something real good!!

If you have a vegan or vegetarian eating with you & there is a chicken stock in the food, forget it - they'll taste it immediately & probably be sick.
So I think you should own up before this happens & send out for the Indian vegetarian take away or Chinese Tofu.

It has to be B. why waste some really good food that you'll be cooking. You've already gone out your way to make the meal. My ex was a veggie and i gave her a sea food sandwich at a party and she at it. See if you don't tell they don't know!

Yes, you goofed. It was a small human oversight. You didn't shoot the President. You didn't bring on a global disaster.

What would it help to open this can of worms after the fact?

I wouldn't say anything, unless the guest's reason for being a vegetarian are for life-threatening purposes, allergies, whatever. I'd say nothing! Buen provecho, I would say.
