What do mean you tried but it didn't really happen. You either did or you didn't. Close enough only works in horseshoes and grenades. I'd say you did, and you are no longer a virgin. And if you don't know whether you are or not, then maybe you are not yet ready to have sex.

It seems you went to a lot of trouble over nothing.
If you are not sure of what you are doing better wait until you are emotionally and phyisically mature to have sex. It sounds like you are too young, stupid and uninformed to be doing this. God knows who convinced you to try it, probably someone older who did not care about you and your feelings at all. The first thing you must do is get some information from a reliable source, and your sex partner is certainly not the right person, have yourself checked by a gynecologist to make sure this person did not give you any sexually transmitted diseases in addition to an unpleasant experience or unfortunate end products like an unwanted pregnancy.
If you hardly know anything about sexual relations at all it would be best not to do it until you really find out what it's all about, and believe me, the tv and the movies, and the lies of your sex partner or any bragging by your peers, are not trustworthy or reliable sources of information. If you don't know any check out the ones provided.
Talk to your parents, a teacher a counselor, someone who is willing to listen, provide good, sound advice, and who will avoid condemning you for your mistake. If you have a good relationship with your parents it is a good moment to talk to them about this, they love you and will help you as much as they can.
Let this be a learning experience.Get smart, be informed, make your own informed decisions. In addition, what's the hurry? You will have the rest of your life for sex, why get started so early and burn out early? Sex is not just humping and grunting, sex is more than that and you are nowhere near ready for it yet.
By the way, and depending on the circumstances your sex partner might have committed a sex crime against a minor, think about that too.

If you bleed and it hurt there was obviously penetration there. Maybe you didn't continue with it because of it hurting but it was sex, if there was penetration. all of this by the way is normall. If you are old enough to be having sex make sure you use a condom and ask your partner to go slow real slow and adjust as your comfort level permits. This might take a couple of times. If the pain continues see a Dr. or clinic. As far as being a virgin tech...no but emotionally yes till you fully experience sex i would say you are still a virgin.

I completely agree with the person that said if you don't know that you're not a virgin at this point, you were too young and inexperienced to have had sex in the first place.
In this day and age, I always find it insanely hard how kids still don't know anything about sex. Just goes to show that they're doing it earlier and earlier and earlier.

Hi. It sounds like you broke your hymen, which, technically, means you're not a virgin anymore. You might still feel like one, because you didn't complete the sex, or whatever happened; you might still be a theoretical virgin, but scientifically, you are not. (this is assuming that's what made you bleed; if it wasn't your hymen and you are still having troubles, you might want to see a gynecologist).

hey there but sorry to say but you are not anymore..because like everyone says you broked it and you were bleeding...so yeah...it doesn't matter if it didn't go all the way in as long as your bleeding and it hurts then your done...but next time try to see if you can take the pain and go all the way...because there isnt' really any use of just stopping there...and you'll see how it really is...don't be scared...lady..

u may have to rephrase the question....did any part the penis enter your vagina?? were you fingered?? If nothing entered your vaginal canal then you shouldnt be bleeding or hurting, but if "tryed to have sex" maybe you broke ur hymen which resulted in bleeding and hurt...meaning you probably lost ur virginity...

Hi!
Scientifically speaking, you are probably no longer a virgin as by the sound of it, your hymen broke, which is the sign of losing your virginity.
However, on a more personal level, since you didn't experience the closeness and euphoria that is usually associated with having sex with 'that special someone' and can only feel and rememebr the pain, then in your heartI think you can still say you are.

sounds like it happened. You may have burst your hymen which is kind of like your virgin seal.
I don't know how old you are, but go to planned parenthood and get on birth control before you try again please.
they can also tell you how to get around the hurting.
Good luck
