Nope. Hand shakes mean nothing really. Some countries don't even have handshakes. Its a dumb way to measure people.

Good question. I am a woman and I have a strong handshake. I appreciate that in others,as well. However, some men feel the need for a less than strong handshake with women. (I can appreciate their manners.) I personally find it to be somewhat of an indication of a person's "make-up." Maybe I shouldn't. Let's put it this way....every man I've met who has a strong handshake is someone I have enjoyed knowing, and being around.

That's a great question! I had a medical appointment last week and at the end of the appointment, my doctor 'shook' my hand. It was very weird. He didn't actually offer an open hand, but pretty much up to the middle of his fingers - and his hand was pretty stiff. It was like shaking hands with a corpse. I left the appointment thinking, "...geez, he seems like he's a pretty uptight dude...". I'm a pretty relaxed person, so it almost made me want to go back and tell him, "...look, just shake yourself out, breathe in, blow out and THEN shake my hand." lol...

I bet there is someone, somewhere who is making a pretty decent salary just doing research on handshaking.
