I had a hard time controling my hypoglycemia while pregnant. I was eating every 2-3 hours or I would be sick and dizzy. I learned what foods kept my sugar up longer though and that helped too. My favorite was peanut butter toast because a carb and protien combined work the longest.

I started with hypoglycemia then it turned to gestational diabetes. Eat healthy, avoid sugars and starches and get glucose tablets from the pharmacy in case you are stranded somewhere without food. Carry peanut butter crackers or cheesy crackers everywhere you go. Avoid eating high sugars to offset the lows because it will slap back and drop your level even more. Remember ; Glucose tabs, peanut butter or cheese crackers. If you get the shakes try to eat before you take the glucose if at all possible!
