Sure. Papers designed for ink jet and laser printers are generally a little heavier - 24 lb and up. Copy paper is usually 20 lb. Ink jet and laser paper is also a little brighter. If you just want a cheap paper to use for general archive stuff, copy paper will work just fine.

I think it fine to use copy paper in an inkjet printer, but you may run into problems if you use copy paper in a laser if it is too thin. I find copy paper tends to jam more in laser printers if you use the cheap paper.

I do that all the time. I use the same paper for my laser and inkjet printer.

of course you can..just make sure the paper isnt too thin for the laser printer not to chew it or not too glossy for the inkjet to blot

Absolutely. Just never use glossy paper in a laser printer -- it'll melt and cause trouble.
