No I wouldn't, One has to look at the full picture.
The purpose of working is to pay living expenses, prepare for retirement, and take care of children. An easy job that pays less and is considered fun, will not provide the tools, for a persons later years. It is all about hard work and maturity.

My income is the second income. However if I were alone cutting my paycheck in half would be fatal because as it is it would barely support me as it is.
We have discussed this by the way, hubby and I, cause I am stressed out at work and either need to hire someone to come in and clean or cut down my hours to do the work myself and still have a little time to breathe. In my current situation I have to say yes. If I were alone I would be forced to say no.

I could not afford to live if I did that. Believe me if I could give up my job now and go and work with animals I would do it, but who would pay my rent and bills and food etc?

i'm a truckdriver, and i do okay. there are others who probably make much more $$$ than i do, but work alot harder for it. i love my job, i love my boss, i'll even drive into new york(a truckers nightmare) for him....

so yes, it's better to have a job you love with ok pay, than to have great pay with a horrible job. best to have great job great pay.

my philosophy on that is i've had big shiny trucks w/big shiny pay checks, big shiny trucks w/little tiny pay checks, ugly trucks w/little tiny pay checks, and ugly trucks w/big shiny pay checks. as long as i'm doing what i like don't care!!!!!

and i do have big shiny truck w/big shiny pay check!!!!

No because I would be too worried about making enough to pay my bills. It wouldn't be worth it. besides, i like a challenge.

Yes. Life is too short to go by hating what you do. I'd rather be poor and happy than rich and miserable.
