Soak your hand in the coldest water you can (add some ice, it helps) for 5-10 minutes. Your skin will shrink to save heat and stay warm. Then immediately apply a lube and twist the ring.

Also try dental floss. String dental floss under your ring by threading a sewing needle with the dental floss, sliding the needle between your finger and ring, then wind the dental floss around your finger, over the knuckle. Start unwinding the dental floss on the top side of your ring, it will follow the floss over your knuckle, and the ring is removed.

Good lubricants to try besides soap and oil: Windex, butter, lotion, hair conditioner.

Try taking Tylenol to reduce swelling and thin the blood before removing it. Wait 30-45 minutes to give the pills time to work in your body. Preparation H also helps to reduce swelling.

Good Luck!

Try soaking your hand in cold water then add a lubricant. If that doesn't work, you may have to have the ring cut off your finger.

First of all cool your hands when they are cool they are smaller for some unknown reason. once they are cool not frozen they shrink then try the lubricant or soap or oil. If all else fails you will need to cut if off and have it restored

spray Windex on your finger around the ring...it should slide off. Also try putting your finger under cold water or icing it. Ice reduces swelling and it might slip off then, too. Good luck!

You have a ring IN your finger? haha try late at night when you are the most relaxed with a little motion lotion, or KY jelly. Or when you get out of the shower put the motion lotion on it and it should come off.

Well calm down for one thing!!!

Push the thing back on where you would normally wear it as to keep from causing your finger to swell....

**soothing you, by running my fingers thru your hair**

Do you have some baby oil??? POUR it on your hands, and circle the ring to get it underneath, and TURN IT as you attempt to remove it.... slowly.... (it should work)...and (SHOULD) HAVE worked in the same manner with soap....

baby oil
kitchen cooking oil
liquid soap
butter

(any of those)....
REMEMBER:::: SLOWLY AND TURN TO REMOVE!

Lube the finger up with some vaseline or baby oil..dish soap...something slippery and start trying to work it off there...If you can't, you'll need to go and have it cut off.

well I'd say the only way to get it off if you have already tried cream etc... then you probably need to cut it off with something, or go to the hospital and see if they can get it off for you. Is it so tight that it is starting to cut of circulation on you finger?
