Chavez is just a pimple on the @ss to progress. People do not take a moron like him seriously. This is the guy whose best friends are Fidel Castro and the President of Iran, isn't that a motley crew? I am sure he also uses them for references. It won't be long and someone will overthrow him or put a bullet in his forehead.

Hugo Chavez is a dictator who is changing his country's government so that he can serve as president for life. That he has a hatred for America is evident with his promoting Norm Chomsky who has had a crusade against America for much of his life. What makes him most dangerous is that he currently has a significant income based in the crude oil industry.

It certainly gives rise to the thought that the United States should withdraw from any involvement with the rest of the world and have the United Nations move to another country. But that really isn’t a valid answer. If we did something like that, much of the third world would collapse economically and we would have to go back into them with the situation much worse.

Like it or not, the United States is involved with these 3rd world countries which are controlled by petty egomaniac with delusions of grander. As they collapse due to the incompetence of these leaders, no country of the United States will be there to address the needs of the people who live there.

Chavez is part of the rebuilding of the Left in Latin America. Fidel and Raul in Cuba did not collapse; Chavez has the oil to go with his politics and Morales in Bolivia makes a third, vociferous party.
Perhaps, instead of aggressive wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, we should be paying closer attention to affairs closer to home.

Some people think Chavez is a dictator, others think Bush is the dictator. It is then a vicious circle that the populace should not be sucked into and start thinking for itself.
So I think it is a big farce and Bush will be the first one to make us feel phobic of others, that doesn't work with me as I am an independent thinker.

He is a very dangerous person who has a lot of oil in his country. He will make Fidel seem like a saint.

We had better wake up to all of the dangers in the world and be ready for wide-spread conflict.
God bless America

No, I'm not watching. I think he's an a** but I don't necessarily disagree with the yankee imperialist label.
