The phone numbers are not contained in the Sim Card. They are contained in memory inside the phone.

The numbers are saved in the old phone's memory...you can transfer them to the SIM card though.

basically what you have done on your old phone is saved your phone numbers to the phone instead of the sim card so when you've swapped it over to your new phone you have left the numbers behind. the best thing you can do now is put them onto your new phone manually but this time select save to sim instead of phone.

try copying the numbers from the phone to the sim. the should be an option in the phone book
