Crystal Palace station has trains from Victoria and Thameslink. Occasionally London Bridge too. It's in Zone 3/4.
Anerley has decent trains from London Bridge (stopping service to East Croydon) and is in Zone 4. It's only about 300m away.
Penge East (Z4) is a bit of a walk (about a mile) but is on quite a good line - out of Victoria to Sevenoaks. Sydenham Hill might actually be closer on that line, and is zone 3.

Sydenham Hill is about 15mins walk to Crystal Palace, but not the main shopping part of it - you can get a train from Victoria, takes about 20 mins - or you can get a train to Herne Hill from Victoria, about 9 mins and then pick up a No.3 from outside the station all the way to Crystal Palace...

Gypsy Hil station is the closest you can get to it from Victoria station, it's in zone three.
Once you get out turn right up the hill then left at the traffic lights keep walking until you see the park. By the way do you know the palace burn down in 1899?

You can get mainline trains from London Victoria. I think it may be zone 3 or 4.
