I just wanted to know how private your e-mails that you send or read at work are. Not through Microsoft outlook but through yahoo. Can they see what you send or read? If so how can you clear it.

The quick answer is,
If you don't want your employer to access it, don't do it at work.
If they decide that they want to look, they can devote the resources to looking, it is their network.

provided that no one is standing behind you when you read/send your email & provided you remember to sign out after you have finished your emails on yahoo should remain private. Of course you can also delete each message after you have read/sent it & this will achieve tihe same result.

They can tell that you have went to Yahoo Mail, but they really can't tell what the email says unless they can see your desktop or have a keylogger.

Put it this way...

Your work MAY have the right to monitor everything you do on their work computers. Check local laws to see if that applies.

It would be difficult, but not impossible to see what you're doing.
