I have 2 rabbits, each in their own cages, but by nature they dart around in the cage and create a mess by spreading some shavings outside of thier cage, I am looking for a good idea to stop this or make it not so much.

Rabbits dart around usually if there are loud noises or other distractions around them, if you got rid of w/e is making them dart around then they wouldnt kick up so much bedding. Also try to make something that goes around the bottom edge of the cages so that they bedding cant get kicked out of the cage so easily

You need to put a smaller mesh screen across the lower part of the cage to prevent that. Let the rabbits dart around!

Either a smaller mesh screen around the bottom of the cage or Plexiglas comes to mind. You could be cheap and use cardboard but then the poor rabbits couldn't see out.

Have a great day!!!

ok this is what i do i also have 2 of them i get the shaving for rabbits too but i put alittle not too much enought to cover the corners b/c thats where they like to use the restroom the CORNERS! mine hate to sleep on the shavings i guess it pokes them but i aslo put news paper under so it observ and i don't have to put too much shaving. so put alot on news paper and 3 hand full of shavings! that should solve it or put a bed spreed under the cage so the shaving should fall on top of the bed spread all u have to do is shake the bed spread out and reuse. hope that helped it did me justice and save alot of cleaning time

They make a piece of cloth to go around the bottom of bird cages for that reason. Maybe they make one for rabbit cages too. Check with your pet store. Or this website has anything you could possibly need for pets. Pet supplies at Jeffers Pet

Cedar shavings? You should not be giving them those kind. Here is an article as to why. This website has a lot of information. You can litter box train your buns and fill it box with wood stove pellets. They work great at absorbing odor plus they are cheap.
