It will offend me.
However, I will exercise my right to not watch it.
My response will be...to not watch it and maybe complain a bit. However, I don't foresee myself calling for her death (or even an apology) or running out into the streets to burn her in effigy and dance around like a gibbon on speed.
As far as boycotting NBC, I don't watch anything on it now (just realized that) so I'm already boycotting by default.

It just goes to show that some people think it's ok to offend most of the U.S. population, but not Muslims.
The fact is that if she is trying to emulate Jesus on the cross, yes that is offensive. Crusifixion was a form of punishiment the Romans doled out. It is considered very cruel and inhumane and they did it to many. So, if she is just emulating the many, that is something different.
NBC is a media that goes for sensationalism just like any other. I always thought it sad that people like good stories, yet you seldom see those. I think it's the idiots who are in charge saying what we want (that don't know what we want), the programmers, that put this stuff on the air.

No, actually, she won't. This is just how she is, she likes to be extreme, attract attention, make controversy.
I guess in this day in age, nothing really shocks or offends me anymore, and I think that's more of an issue.
Things are so different, just in the 29 years that I have been on this earth.
You talk to our elderly generation and are amazed and blown away at how so many things are going downhill.
It is really sad when there is more bad on tv than good and none of it is really unexpected. It is almost the norm anymore.
What is it going to be like in another 20, 40, 60 years?

She has made a career out of being offensive, ...yawn...oh excuse me...she's up to her old tricks again.
However, I am a decent person who does not believe in exploiting anyone's religion for the sake of one person's egotistical or monetary gain. I think at some point we all have to decide what is valuable and what has no value. For this reason, I have already sent my letter to NBC asking them not to give airtime to any more programming that is lacking moral value than they already do. It would not be hard for me to boycott NBC or any other network that promotes programming devoid of all moral content.

sure, they all have the right...but why is NBC putting it on? ratings during sweeps....... that's all. it's why madonna does that stuff. controversy. there's no such thing as bad publicity. sure, i'd boycott them. why not? does it offend me? well, yeah, it does. cuz i'm somewhat principled and i don't believe people or t.v. stations should whore themselves for publicity or attention. not to mention, i am catholic. a lot of things in this world offend a catholic. but i'm not getting all bent out of shape about it. i just think it's stupid....really stupid. but, hey, if you want to boycott, i'm with you.
and that's true about t.v. i have 800 channels and there's nothing on. nothing good anyway. a bunch of shows...and commercials...that are getting more and more morally inept. not to mention tastefully inept.

It doesn't bother me. However, if no one watches NBC, I guaranty you that no network will ever broadcast another publicity stunt by Madonna ever again.
NBC hypocritical about showing disrespect for Christianity but not for Islam?!? Of course. Networks are only in it for the money and if it makes money, it will be on the screen.

I won't be offended because I probably will not watch it. But you hit the nail on the head when you said, "Madonna is a media whore that will do anything for attention."

This is a question of free speech, and the reason we try not to offend the Muslim Religion is because we are at war with people that might escalate their violence, so it would not be to smart to provoke them for the safety of our soldiers. No one is saying that it is against the law to insult Muslims it just not a smart thing to do right now. If we ever go to war with China I'm sure we will not try and insult Buddha.

i'm catholic yet no longer probably into faith; actual it sort of feels to reason extra issues interior the international than it does sturdy. besides to respond to your question, i individually isn't indignant I purely think of it extremely is sort of disrespectful to show somebody as grimy and skanky as Madonna as Jesus. it is purely what the international is coming to. Now to respond to your different question approximately NBC no longer airing the Mohammed guy, properly it is purely uncomplicated sense, think of roughly it, American's are not muslims and to be brutally truthful, hate them, no person desires to work out a sketch that is going to remind them of those freak *** terrorists. yet howdy, it is purely my opinion.
