If its a water based paint, the hot weather will dry up the moisture in the paint too quick (water is needed for the chemical reaction with air with subsequent drying) This will cause your paint to crack and it may not even set properly/provide a watertight protective layer on the surface you're painting. If its a paint thats other than water based, eg chemical based, then paint away. Although anything over 25 degrees celcius i wouldn't be in a rush to paint

Actually, its "bad" for the person who is painting!

They can get heat exhaustion, and sweat enough, so that they can get dehydration if not hydrated enough with water.

As for the painting in hot weather, it doesnt affect the paint. It will speed drying time for the latex and it will be dry in no time at all, and oils dry fast also. If you paint enamel, (for porches), it still takes 12 hours to dry, no matter how hot it gets. It will "skim" over quicker, but, the paint doesnt cure until about 12 hours.

You shouldnt paint under 60 degree weather for the paint to properly "cure". I believe they recommend between 60-80 degrees for painting.

I wish you well..

The biggest problem I have found are the fumes. If it's hot and you open the windows and doors to vent it can get very hot depending on where you are. I've found through person experience that I like to paint on cooler days. It doesn't have to be 50 degrees or anything just not 99 with 100% humidity.

YES and NO.. It depends on what you mean by HOT.. I would never paint a house if the temperature is 90 degrees or above... same as with cold weather.. paint should never be applied if the weather is nearing 0 degrees

It's only bad on your disposition. Paint dries faster when it's hot out. Also, it usually takes less paint to cover in hot weather. Strange but true
