Yes,sooner or later. The figures from the latest poll taken say's, if repeated at a general election, would send Mr Cameron to Downing Street with a majority of around 10 - although that could climb if Liberal Democrat discontent with the government costs Labour tactical votes in marginal seats.
At the last general election the Conservatives won more votes in England than Labour, but 92 fewer seats, and the party still needs to build a big lead over Labour before it can hope to become the largest party in the Commons.
However, the Conservatives are beginning to eat into Labour's bedrock of support. One indication is that voters who failed to turn out in 2005 now say they intend to back Mr Cameron's party next time. That reverses a long-standing trend that saw Labour become the natural option for uncertain voters. Conservative and Lib Dem supporters are also more likely to say they intend to vote at the next election than Labour supporters. But the big question remains, will people vote the same on Election day,as they say they will in a poll??? We shall see,the Election is a long way off.!!!!!!

I don't know about the near future. As near as I can tell by following British politics from 8000 miles away, there isn't a strong Tory voice ala Margaret Thatcher. Until the Tories come up with something and someone to galvanize the people in their favor then Labour will probably dominate. Nothing in politics is forever. In 1992, few people believed the Republican party in the US would ever regain the House of Representatives but 2 years later, they did.

Not for another 5 or 6 years at least. When a General Election comes, people will still mistrust them. For now...

shouldn't the question be 'will we ever have a labour party again?'

No, no, please no. Thatcher and her toadies wrecked society and promoted the culture of greed and instant gratification that has caused most of our problems for the last 20 years.
Let them run America instead - they seem to like right-wing, bigotted idiots running the country!
