Ciao, I'm a guy, but I give good advice ;] ..If you really love fashion, you know that Chanel would be the obvious choice. I mean, I love Louis Vuitton too, I have a few Louis Vuitton sneakers and shirts. But as for Louis Vuitton purses, I think people killed them. Do you know that 99.99% (you can read about it yourself on wikipedia) of all products you see with the LV logo on them are knock-offs? That seriously kills it. That's why I wear the shoes and clothes, but not so much their leather goods. Oh god, and now it's gone ghetto which completely fcuking kills it, rappers with LV monogram car upholstery? LAME. Now you got ghetto *** people wearing MORE LV imitation... Another thing is their colors don't go with everything, the classic monogram is brown so it doesn't go too well with colorful clothes, the multicolor doesn't go too well if you want to go for a formal look, and the denim line doesn't go well unless you're wearing jeans basically. Plus, Louis Vuitton goes in and out of style.. Chanel is classic, it NEVER goes out of style (I mean you can have a 50 year old Chanel purse and it still looks great!), it's never been played out by celebrities or by imitations in the way Vuitton has, the simple black & white Chanel look goes with everything and black & white is ALWAYS in style. No matter what trend is out there in color, or style. Black, white, & Chanel is ALWAYS a fashion DO. You simply can't go wrong with it.
As for the girl that said "Louis Vuitton! All the way because I have nothing but LV, and it's hot, much better than Chanel. You can't get Chanel covered shoes, but I got LV on belts, purses, shoes, clothes." ...There IS Chanel sneakers and stillettos with the CC logo on it, there is Chanel belts (way nicer then Vuitton's by the way) with CC buckles, and there is plenty of super chic Chanel clothes.. Another thing is if you dress that ghetto trying to impress everyone with LV monograms all over, you just look ghetto, tacky, and everyone thinks or knows it's all knock-off LV.
Too much monogram is a definetely a bad way to go, I mean come on, only ghetto *** rappers with no fashion sense do it. Chanel is more simple and classic, if you wear it and only have a few CC logos on you look so much more elegant, classy, & fashionable then a tacky LV covered ghetto-bird.
Like I said, I do love Louis Vuitton's too, but people killed the leather products horribly. So go with the Chanel.
As for clothes though, it's a tie. Marc Jacobs' designs for the Vuitton ready-to-wear collections has been AMAZING! Although, Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel is pretty damn amazing as well. Tie for ready-to-wear on shoes. Big win for Chanel on the leather products.

Of course louis Vuitton Chanel isn't as popular as louis vuitton you see lots of celebritys with louis vuitton luggage and celebs like Hilary duff with the purses.

personaly i prefer chanel. i find that their stuff is more classy and they do have different styles. whist louis vuitton, for a start so many people wear it and there is so much more fake louis vuitton than chanel so it doesnt look good...there are something by lv which are really great but chanel is the best of the best!!

i prefer both for different looks. i mean chanel is classy wheras louis vuitton is fun and trendy especialy the rainbow collection. but there r so many fake LV out there that people won't really know whether u have the real on or fake one. so if u r gonna buy a designer bag go for chanel.

Chanel of crouse. LV is so played out and two years ago. Try the Chanel Tote Bag, thats what I have. I LOVE IT! :)
