This is just an excuse to where whatever you want.
Personally I would dress up as a ship :^O

Well, folks have already covered ways to demonstrate:
-That you were the cause of the ship going down (my favorite category)
-Adult-with-adult behavior
-Just getting in line with being on the ship in the first place
-Being ready for swimming
I guess I'd explore the first category some more. Someone suggested carrying a drill and wearing a wet suit, suggesting that you drilled holes in the ship. You could also dress like a torpedo or an iceberg.

You could wear an old-fashioned dress to represent those on the Titanic when that ship went down. You can dress as if you were first class or third. Also, if you have a significant other, the two of you can reinact Jack and Rose. :)

I think a Pirate costume is the most appropriate form of dress for any given situation; including weddings, funerals, meetings with the bank manager, skydiving or impressing your girlfriends parents.

If you usually dress casual (jeans and top) dress up really posh, posh frock, tiara, jewels, real or fake for ladies, D.J or tails for men.If you usually go posh ,dress down tatty jeans and top.
If you are brave or have a good figure swimwear
