read the sun on page21 today, it has a whole page dedicated to the growing number of daddy longlegs and where they originate from.

Hi ya,
the daddy long legs all come out in september, as this is when they leave their larval stage and become adults.
They are actually crane flies and can not hurt you at all, they only mate, they do not even eat, they have no stings either and cannot bite.

Crane fly hatch from larvae called leather jackets which wiggle their way to the surface of the ground in late August and September.

you must have a nest some where in your house. You better check around because they are multiplying. It's getting cold outside so they are trying to find a warm place to live. Gross isn't it?

I think they hatch from pupae or larvae. They only live for a day so don't worry about them

I really don't know, but they creep me out, with their long legs!
They should have boots on if you ask me!
Anyway, they bite you when you go in the garden in ur bare feet!!!
I don't like!!
