Steve Irwin was great, a truly genuine person, and that's what makes it so sad that he died. He lived life to the fullest and cared so much about what he did and his family and the world. It's hard to find so real a human being these days when it seems wherever you look people only care about superficial things. Steve was always real, always. If only I could do half as much in my life as he did for the world in his life. If only I could have half has much the zest for life that he had.
It took a while for it to sink in when I heard that he'd died, at first I was really shocked to hear it. Now it has sunk in. And I feel so much sympathy for his wife and his kids. His son is only two and half years old, he won't really remember, but his daughter, Bindi, she's eight years old, and death is a very tough concept to grasp at that age.
I remember when I was her age, how upset I would become watching movies or reading books where a character in them died, it would affect me so much for days, so I can only imagine how terrible it must be to deal with the death of a loved one, a person so close to you at that age. When I saw her speaking at his memorial service the other day, it made me cry because he truly must have been the best dad in the world, just like she said.
Best wishes to Bindi and her mother and brother, God bless them, and God bless Steve Irwin. I hope he's in a better place now, waiting for the day when he will be with all the people who loved him again.

When i found out, i was really upset. I thought about his kids first, then his wife. I really did respect the guy and thought he had ALOT of guts. however, he bought his baby into a dangerous situation as there was a crocadile 4 yards away from him and he was holding his child in his left arm. Now that is unacceptable. When micheal jackson did that with his baby over a balcony, it was up roar. he was stupid to have done that.
It was inevitable that he was going to die with the wild animals. that is what he loved best and he was so stupid at times. he took his life for granted and has now got to watch his family suffer. i think he is a tad selfish, but a great guy overall. he tought alot of things to a lot of people, for that reason only, he has my respect.
RIP.

As the Australian PM said yesterday at Steve's memorial service - a teriffic life well lived! His energy and passion was infectious. He really was a truly unique Aussie Gem. He will be sorely missed. I still can't believe he's gone. R.I.P. Crock man!

I have this dream lately that late Stephen Irwin is now living peacefully among all the dead dinosaurs and creatures! I personally missed him a lot and will always remember him in my prayer.

One of a kind. A lovable loon. Bloody shame...always thought some huge beast would eat him, not some poxy little stingray.

I thought he was completely mad (in a nice way) what he did with the crock’s and snake's was unbelievable, He was a true expert. At least he died doing what he did best, working with animals. :-(
