I have commented on his smell, but I would feel bad if I said you 'stank'. He lives with me, we fell out. No longer sexual. He stays in my spare bedroom. It is not normal if I can walk by the door and smell the seat of your boxers fill the entire room. Disgusting! I am very concious of body cleanliness, not obsessed. I know at the end of the day everyone isn't shower fresh, but damn! You should not be able to be smelled if someone is next to you or around you. Let alone wanting to have sex, get the f out of here. Oh and he stays in the shower for about 2 freakin minutes. I have said directly a few times that that was too fast to take a shower. He says 'I'm clean though'. I wonder what he considers dirty? Do some guys just smell more than others, or is he just dirty? How can I tell him to wash his azz?

My self esteem is great that's why I'm leaving him alone. Out with the old in with the new. I'm not mad I'm just tired of him. He was fine when we first started. I think he just got comfy and let go. We were never boyfriend/girlfriend. Just "friends". I was just helping him out with a place to stay and got to see the real him. It only worked out for about a month. And by the way he is getting out because I'm moving on the 30th and I CAN'T WAIT.

Just tell him. I will say though if you are anything like me, the damage is done, and whether he cleans up or not, you will always associate him with that smell.
If there is hope for your sexual relationship get in there with him...show him how you want him to clean himself, and powder and lotion him up when you come out. He may like being that clean and keep it up on his own.
Some people do have more oder than others...I think it is hormonal and can even have to do with what they eat, but in this situation, it sounds like he is just dirty. Many guys are!

I had the same problem a few months ago. I am no longer seeing this guy, but that wasn't why we broke up. He had bad breath & a "stanky asszzz." I didn't come right out and tell him this though. I started not kissing him or sleeping with him until I brushed my teeth or took a shower(always invited him to join me). When he seen how self conscious I was, he started being that way too. I made sure he seen me cleaning every part of my body thouroughly. It's almost like he didn't know how to be clean.

Tell him to scrub up or ship out.
Seriously though it looks like you are going to have to be a bit blunt with him on this one ad tell him how you feel. It is for his own good after all and I am sure you can work things out if you just talk it through.
By the way, if you need to tell him he smells of crap then just tell him! It is better to know these things so that you can do something about them rather than living in smelly ignorance.

Some guys do smell more than others through no fault of their own, but he's just being really nasty.
I'd suggest that you convince him to have a "sensual" shower with you, making him think it's sexual while it gives you a chance to distract him and give him a decent scrubbing without being outright insulting.

well I have some concerns about your hygiene, this body odor did not just suddenly appear he has always had it and you accepted it, the only reason you're coming cleannnnn now is because you are mad with him. How could you sleep with some one who is smelling and really smelling bad because as you stated you smell the odor outside of the room, Where is your self esteem?

I used to be so non-confrontational...the best lesson I've learned is when to be confrontational and this is one of those times. The first time you walked into the room and smelled azz, you should have said "ewww, it smells like ***". And then if it continued, you should be like "dude, you gotta wash your ***, it's grossing me out". Anyway, either confront or deal with *** smell. P.S Kick this loser out. Any adult that does not know to wash their *** should not be in your house. That's bizzare, gross and just plain wrong.

It sounds like you've already tried being subtle.
I think I'd just tell him to wash his *** or get out. And tell him he stinks. I used to work in inpatient psych, and we used to tell people they smelled bad all the time. Doesn't matter how crazy you are, people immediately respond and try to fix the problem.

Show him that you like cleanliness.. take a shower with him, clean him and make it sensual... you don't actually have to clean his butt or anything, being in the shower and being exposed to soap will atleast help, but afterwards , show him that you like it when he's clean.. it will help.

"It is difficult enough to change ourselves - we can't hope to change others" - an old but wise saying.
You can't change him, so tell him to move out.
Yes, some problems in life really are that simple.
