i love the birds,the thin man series,psycho,and a lot of movies that come on TCM( TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES)

Depends on the age of the asker!
I am 28 and love the old movies. I watched Roman Holiday last night (again) and To Kill a Mockingbird is my favourite film of all time.
Also, everybody should watch the entire Hitchcock back catalogue and also Dr. Strangelove, the funniest film of all time.

Some black and white movies are really good. Like all the Shirley Temple movies... I perfer them in black and white. I like Miracle on 34th St. black and white but, the new version is cute. Also I like Its a Wonderful Life.. its classic christmas movie.
I like I Love Lucy show in black and white... haha It rocks.

i love b and w movies i watch amc american movie classic and tcm turner classic movies all the time. these movies had some excellent quality to them

I like quite a few of the movies named in the other answers here and even like some of the old silents such as The Sheik and Nosferatu.

Yep. Hitchcock's black and white films are excellent. Also check out 'Seven Samurai' by Kurosawa, which features some brilliant black and white work.
'Citizen Kane' is another excellent black and white film.

Absolutely! Color isn't a prerequisite for having a good movie. I love the old comics (Three Stooges, Marx Bros., etc.) and old horror movies in particular.

I DON'T KNOW IF YOU CONSIDER 43 YOUNG, BUT I LOVE THE OLD CLASSICS. I JUST RECENTLY GOT A LIBRARY CARD AND HAVING A FIELD DAY WATCHING SOME OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITES AND EVEN SEEING SOME CLASSICS YOU WOULD HAVE THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE SEEN BY NOW. Ditto. The original "Haunting" was the best. "Invasion of the Bodysnatchers", "The Fly", and most others already mentioned here. Love the old movies.
