Truly tragic. In memory of Steve, I hope those he touched can help his work continue by supporting 'The Wildlife Warriors'.
Steve's work must continue and we must never forget the amazing contribution he gave to the world.
He was truly one of a kind, giving much more than he received.

i think its sad,
But what i find even more sad is the people that are still using the " ray " jokes, and yes i am talking about the idiot who posted on this question, he was a great guy, i hope you were fortunate enough to watch the memorial, because it did sum his life up as best as he could.
Australia will always miss Steve, he did do so much for us & we love him ,

Miss you mate xx

I think its unfair you all say" It would have happened sooner or later " he was trained,
Do you say to people who die in car accidents " well it was bound to happen sooner or later,?
No you don't, This was a freak accident, he had survived doing what he did and loved his whole life & it took a stingray to take the life from this great man and that was a "freak accident" he didn't provoke the ray!!

So think before your words and Kharma come back to haunt you .

I think anyone's death is sad, I know well what it feels like to lose people you love. The man chose his profession, and took risks. I mean, if I were to go play in traffic every day, eventually I'm going to get hit by a car or something. I'm not down playing his death by any means, just saying that death is a part of life, and you just have to get used to it. Sad, but true.

It is a very sad situation. But I hope all the people who loved and cared for Steve, can find peace knowing he's in heaven watching over all of us through the clouds high in the air.

Rest In Peace Steve and we'll see you soon.
