I have a new Dell Laptop (Inspiron/E1505) and want to transfer some of my files from my older dewsktop computer. I recently purchased a SanDisk but there were no Usage Instructions that came with it. Please help me.

Just plug it in and it should automatically work. If the old computer has Windows 98 or below, you will need to download a driver for the disk...just go to http://www.sandisk.com

Hi

You have a new laptop so it has a few USB ports [rectangular shaped slots] on the sides and back. The operating system is Windows XP [never mind the edition].

You just need to insert your SanDisk drive into any one of the ports [you may have to just check the orientation -which side up] and it'll detect a Flash Drive inserted.

Following which you can use windows explorer to copy the files as you would to any other drive.

In case your older computer does not have a USB port, you would have to get a USB card which fits inside the desktop in PCI slots [your computer dealer would be able to fix it for you] and then it will work.

In case you have USB ports but no software, you can download the drivers from -
http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx after choosing the make of your disk. You will need to install it only once on older computer and never on new windows xp running ones :)

Cheers!
