OK maye I should post this in the botany section but i believe modern Science has no answer to this question, it all stated like this... I was angry at the rose plant in our house cuz it's not doing so well and said i was gonna take a leak on it, my wife got angry and started smacking me, saying "How could i say such a thing to the rose" first off I was just joking but who the hell cares they can't hear right? "Yes they can!" she exclaimed... Who the hell believes this, they don't have ears, they don't even have nerves! Who really believes a plant can hear?

I know I don't believe plants can hear, see, or give a damn about anything. People are weird sometimes when it comes to stuff like that and what they believe in! But, it's America and they have the right to believe whatever they want to, so more power to 'em!

Dear, let me tell you a little story about plants. My Mother passed away in '98 and we put a cacti in the basement and had the auction and forgot about the plant. 3 years later it was yellow. I watered it and it grew. Now, I told my flowers I wanted them to bloom this year for me and stay beautiful. Well, the suckers died so no, they don't listen. They just need pesticide to keep bugs from killing them so the chemicals can kill us and they can take over the world!

There were studies that prove that plants and flowers are more alive than we think. Studies have proven that speaking positively to plants and playing nice music to plants will help them grow better. It sounds insane and Im skeptical but you cant argue with science.

Heck yeah they can hear. Sing to them and you will see them sway(assuming you have a somewhat good voice) back and forth. Your wife has more brains than you I' m afraid but please do not take a leak on the rose. Better to take a leak on weeds, now those jerks have no ears and they are destructive.

I do. Often botanists play music near the plants and they grow better. They just don't want to hear any rap.

I believe they r affected by vibration kinda like hearing and they have nerves and stuff like that but your wife is really overboard on this thing wow.

I don't know if they can hear, but i'm sure they can feel. I have seen plants react to things. I always talk to my plants, touch them and play music for them.

lol i do but not hearing i used to have a plant that loves to b treatin nicely n if u dont touch her leaves in gently way like everyday it would turn yellow n die
