Use your systems restore feature to get back to it's original settings... You may have to "tab" thru to navigate w/out the mouse, but that will fix your issue. Also, Change the settings of AutoUpdate in the control Panel, this way, you can avoid issues in the future.

Go to start-accessories-system tools-system restore-when you get restore screen-check restore my pc to an earlier time, you'll then get a calendar-go back to the date that your mouse and printer was working correctly. What update? Try reinstalling the drivers/programs for your printer and mouse.
