I've noticed that if I forget to log off, my account remains open for an extended period of time. People have come behind me and read my emails. While working, I often switch between screens and different account and sometime forget to goback and close my account. Is there any way to reset this and have my account log off automatically after a set period of inactivity? Thank you.

Hi,
I'll assume you are using Windows XP, as you haven't stated that on the problem. You can get XP to lock your window after a configurable amount of time if inactive. Simply right click on an empty space on the desktop. Select the "Screen Saver" tab, half way down you will see where you can select your screensaver, also below this you'll see a "Wait" box. Simply select the number of minutes you want before the screen locks, also check the "On resume, password protect".
Hope this helps,
Rgds,

Are you talking about your webmail or your computer account?

If it's your webmail, learn to close the window.

If it's your computer account, password protect the screensaver.
