Umm, no! Not really. As an atheist, I can't say I give a particular fart in the wind. If some of my Jewish friends and colleagues are happy and upbeat about it, then great, but I would go with whatever the Hebrew equivalent is of 'Bah, Humbug'!

Yes. I'm not Jewish, but my family sets aside time to light the candles, have tea and a sweet and spend a few quiet moments together while the candles burn. We don't answer the phone or turn on the Tv. We only listen to music, play with the dradle and talk to each other. Sometimes we invite friends to join us. We exchange small gifts.
