How many of you make your bed before you goto work?

Let her do it. Or both do it together, very romantic. As a comprimise at least pull the sheets up so it looks neat. I cannot tell a lie, I dont.

I make the bed every chance I get. I don't always do it, like if I'm running late, but then when I get home I'll do it before I get in bed anyway. It makes the room look so much nicer, even if the rest of the room is messy as heck. And when you get in a bed that is made, you don't have to wrestle with the blankets and argue over who has more of which blanket and blahblah. It saves a LOT of headaches and once you get in the habit of doing it, it takes no time at all. If you set a timer for 5 minutes, I guarentee you can have the bed made in that amount of time.

Personally, I found that I kept my bed made, and then when my boyfriend would come over, he NOTICED because -I- kept my bed that way, so if he left after I already went to work, he would actually take the time to make my bed for me! Tell your wife about FlyLady (link below). If she wants it, she has to do it for herself... and once she's got her own routine down, you'll probably just get swept into it and follow along without even really noticing you're doing so!

And for cryin' out loud, it's MAKING THE BED. It's not something that takes a lot of brain power! Your wife wouldn't be your wife if she didn't love you, so just do it and make her happy. :P

Don't make this a control issue. Get a down comforter and just pull it up over the sheets, blankets, etc. and plop the pillows on top at the head of the bed--takes less than a minute and makes your spouse happy. Definitely a win-win.

I might do it - but I'm not a morning person, and sometimes I'm not even competent to make coffee if I haven't HAD my coffee. (catch-22, eh?)

Besides, the husband (a working musician), is still IN the bed when I leave - so it's a moot point...
