if so is there anything I could do to prevent getting any more or get rid of the ones I currently have??

I don't think the pill could be causing this, you are probably just prone to getting them. There is a procedure where they shoot saline into the spidery veins, it can take going back a couple of times to get them all, then as you develop more you will have to get them treated as well. If it's bulging varicose veins then you can have them surgically removed.
One thing that might help a little bit is to make sure you are getting enough exercise, going for a daily walk would be good.

i have tread vains and i was told it was because i am over weight and standing on my legs a lot. so i dont think there is a way to get rid and less by sugery if its pain ful its up to you.

im pretty sure it is genitic and you can only have it removed if it is really large. it is a very painful procedure i heard.
