Open Explorer
Go to tools - Select Internet Options
On the General tab
In IE7 (I believe 6 also) select Delete.
If it is history you want to stop then select Settings (in same place) and reduce the days to save history to 0

Besides deleting cookies and temp files you should also delete IE content by using this link C:\Documents and Settings\(Your Folder)\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5 You must replace your folder with the profile folder that is specifically designated to your login. Once you are there select all files and delete.
