There are actually quite a few families who already do this. I think that it is totally expectable for those who can handle it. I believe that a wife would know how hard it is to stay home with the children and would be more supportive of a stay-at-home-dad than a lot of men are of their wives (NOT ALL). If the woman is making more money than the man then it just makes sense. However, it is hard for those dads to be the only DAD at the playground and at mom and tot stuff...But things are changing!!! yeah!!!

I am the breadwinner of the household. So the position has already been assumed. My hubby is not a househusband, but I make double of what he brings in and we do all the household chores together, same with the rearing of the children.

In our household, I am the wife, and breadwinner. It's not all that it's cracked up to be. Yes, more money may make you have some healthy confidence and give you a sense of pride. But, when the other needs to borrow money.. you're always the one that feels like the "ATM". I'd love to quit my job, and be a stay at home mom. But.. that's just not feasible. :(

That really depends on your cirrcumstances. It would be more the time for all to go that way, if women were paid the same as men.
I would be the breadwinner if I knew my hubby would actually do all that needed to be done around the house and with the kids. If your considering asking your wife this, do.

No! I like the idea of the husband working and the wife staying home. My husband and I both work and I'd much rather be home taking care of the house - then at an office every day.

Only if he is disabled to function in the outside world. Women need to be helpers not soul providers. why take the lead in this relationship when there is no need. If you have a better paying job then good for u, but don't allow that to make your husband turn into a house *****

Youll be shocked and surprised on the flaws you're able to do once you are able to desire to. i be attentive to I did. I performed Mr mom for 2 females, now adults 18 & 22 and it didnt harm them or me one bit. no longer one person ever stated a be conscious approximately itboth pals or kinfolk. It replaced into all in my own techniques that id be laughed at and unaccepted. Absolutely. I believe this is an accepted scenario at present and why not. If the principles involved are in agreement its a viable option especially if children are part of the family unit.
