Insufficient information. The overtime rate is $15 an hour. At 45 hours, none of the answers is correct, so the overtime must be calculated on the time worked beyond the normal working hours. Without knowing the normal working hours (40? 37? 37.5?) one cannot do the calculation.
The most probable answer is C. (giving a normal working week of 40 hours and 5 hours overtime)
Each answer would be correct if the normal working week were respectively (in hours):
A) 38.67
B) 39.33
C) 40
D) 40.67
Since this is quite obviously a math question, one cannot ASSUME a working week of 40 hours. Either you left out the information when you typed the question or it was badly written in the first place. If the latter, then mine is the correct way to answer it.

7.50 x 2 = 15 x 5 = 75
base rate times 2 (double time) is $15.00 per hour. You worked 5 hours of overtime times $15 equals $75.00

Well, you did not specify if the 45 hours are in one week. Assuming the 45 hours are in one week and 40 hours is concidered a full work week then it would be 5*7.5.2 = 75. However in the real world you lose 40% of the overtime to taxes.

Assume the average work week is 40 hours. That means you worked 5 hours of overtime. If overtime is double time, then you get paid $15/hour. 5 x 15 = 75.
$75

Do your own homework.
I'm sure it took more effort to type the question in here then to solve the problem yourself.
If you ever want to make more then $7.50 an hour I suggest you do your own homework!

Is this homework? If not, overtime is time and a half, not double. If it is, do your own homework. Seriously, this isn't hard.
