Hey, I'm a Watford fan and we aren't big time Charlies from the Premiership. I'm not sure about John Gregory as QPR manager. I have always thought of him as a schneidy git, very sarcastic and the type of person who could really rub his players up the wrong way. He goes in the same bracket as Carlton Palmer and Paul Ince - accrimony seems to follow them around. I know a manager has to be ice-hearted at times, and can't be the players' best mate, but I could see a number of his squad turning round and saying 'stuff you' if things don't go well, and he starts criticising.

What he needs though is money to invest. When was the last time QPR really invested in their squad?

I'm not just a fan of Arsenal, and the Premier League, but a fan of football.
I think John Gregory is a fantastic acquisition for QPR, and honestly expect them to climb off the bottom of the Championship. Now that we know Blackwell has been sacked by Leeds, i wonder whether Gregory would have been on the short list for that job.
John Gregory has not only got vital experience of managing in the top League, but experience of managing in the lower leagues. Be interesting to read the views of QPR fans on his appointment

hully genius... NEWSFLASH - Alot of people give a toss!!!

I honestly hope Gregory does a good job for QPR. I am a Leicester City fan, so being in the same division I hope he doesn't do THAT good a job, but I genuinely wish the Superhoops all the best. Although I am a Leicester fan I was born and grew up in West London. I've lost count of the number of times I've sat in the school boy end down at the bush and watched City play QPR. When I was younger my dad and I used to go down to Loftus Road every now and then when we couldn't get up to Filbert Street or we weren't playing in London. I have a real soft spot for Rangers. I was more than a little mystified with the way it went down with Ian Holloway... Sorry if we had anything to do with that... I don't honestly think we were going to offer him our management position, I think your chairman used it as a way of getting rid of him, but from the outside at least, I thought he was doing a decent job for you.

As for John Gregory, personally I can't stand him. I guess it stems back to when he walked out on us with Brian Little to manage Aston Villa. He then went on to manage the sheepshaggers from up the road so he's not exactly a fan's favorite in Leicestershire. I remember when we beat Villa in the semi-final of the League Cup and he accused us of not crossing the half-way line. Will he do a good job for QPR - possibly. It's sad to say but even the Championship is all about money now. You just have to look at Birmingham and Sunderland for that. I don't know what the finances are like down South Africa Road way but if there anything like they are at the Walkers, you, like us, will be playing with one hand tied behind your back. Gregory will bring alot of experience. He obviously has alot of contacts within the game so he may be able to bring in new players. As for his ability to improve the current players you have, that's open to question so I guess only time will tell. I'll be back in London next season. As we don't have a cat in hells chance of getting anything like promotion this season, I hope QPR can stay in the Championship so I can once again go down and see the boys there.

Best of luck for the season mate....

He does not seem to stay around very long, his longest reign as Manager was at Aston Villa from 1998 to 2002 plus he used to play for them. So maybe he might be around for a while seeing he used to play for Q.P.R as well.

He didn't do a bad job at the Villa - Got us in to europe which we haven't done since. He did loose the plot a bit towards tghe end of his reign - Lack of funds didn't help him though

He was a good player for Villa and I think a half decent manager. Good luck to him. I am sure he will do well.
