This all depends on if all your checks, debit/credit transactions have posted and whether or not your financial institution charges montly fees to maintain your account. Do you keep carbons on your checks... if so enter them into your checkbook. Remember sometimes when you use your debit/credit card the charges don't post immediately so you have to have a good idea of what you have used on this card. Maintain accurate records and use online banking daily. Make it a habit to right down all transactions down. Good luck.

You can call the bank and ask them! Be sure you account for checks that may not have been recorded yet.

Rectify your statement. Outstanding checks, subtracted from bank balance should match your check book balance.

Well you should be keeping your own records, but if you aren't, you can view your balance online through your bank's website
