Hi There

I am not sure about outside the house, but if you mean outside the kitchen then i have something for you.

I am working for few years now from my house. And I have been looking for a job that let people who answer questions make money.

I finally found one, it is not yet up but I read good things about them. Go register to http://beta.bitwine.com before they close the beta.

At this point you just enter your e-mail but later they will ask you to register and specify the service or knowledge you have.

And now comes the interesting part. You set your salary, you don't work for them, and it is free to begin with, and if people want your services you will get paid per minute instantly.

Say you can do tutoring, or fix a car, or give advice on buying and selling cars, or how to cook, well you will get paid for your time, and it will have Audio and Video.

Hope this helps

My daughter has 3 children and she went to work at a day care so she could take her kids with her, get an income and not pay day care.
She knew where her kids were and that they were safe, and could check in on them when she wanted to. If they are in school at least part of the day you can look for a position with a company that uses job sharing which hires 2 people for the same position so its flexible between you and covered at all times. One of you work morning and the other works evenings.
You could also start a cleaning service like I have and make more money per hour than you ever thought possible.

I agree with Darhma, a teacher's assistant or what they call an Educational Assistant now (more PC).
You don't have the major responsibilities of an actual teacher, but you get all the perks that they get. Like the same hours of your kids who are in school, you are very involved in your children's school (if you work at the same one that they go to).
This is what I do, and absolutely LOVE it. I feel that I am very lucky.

Anything you desire. Inform them about your children. Receptionist and telemarketing allow you to be at home evenings and weekends because these jobs hold positions from 8- 5 working part - time with benifits allows you to be off around 1 or so. therefore you are able to relax for two hours if your children are school aged. If they aren't then don't work unless you have to.

You can go to working mom's website, it is a magazine. They have a list of the most mom friendly jobs outside of the home. If you don't mind working on commission, AFLAC is a very mom friendly job and on that list!

Look for employers who have family oriented options at work. Some example are places where they provide day care right on the premises. These jobs are much harder to find than one might think but they do exist. Though I am not suggesting it the US Air Force is very mom friendly. Check out hospitals, gymnasiums, daycare centers and school.

Good Luck
Jon

Maybe something where you can worj with children like a daycare or if you want to be away from the kids, try getting a job part time as a secretary in a church they have great benefits besides the fact that you are doing something good. Maybe even something like Tupperware or Pampered Chef that way you can choose your own hours!

Being an aide in a classroom....not your own children, of course.
They don't get paid but 20,000 a year, but you have the same hours as your children. The biggest plus is that you don't have the same responsibility as a teacher. You just work the hours they are in school and leave it at the end of the day...no parents to deal with....only the fun of being of help to children.

I am a mom to a 2 1/2 year old and one on the way. I work part time at the local gym at the service desk. I check guests in, sign people up for the different classes/programs, get to chatter with other moms, and not to mention get a free gym membership!
I love it, it works great with my husbands work and school schedule. I love the people that work there and as well as the people that work out there. The owners encourage to get to know our members and treat them like they are guests in our own home. Its great! I suggest looking into working a gym.
