Call the police immediately.. if she has that kind of reaction to men then you are most likely right. take her into the councilors office and don't by any means call the step father to come to the school.. get a female officer to come to the school and have them bring a rape councilor with them.. better to be safe on this one than to send the little girl back home to that again..
good luck and i hope you are reading the signs right..
but call someone to check her out at the hospital soon..

You have the responsibility by law to report this to the school social worker or the school nurse or to the authorities; follow the protocol. Let professionals ascertain whether or not this is indeed happening. If no one does anything, call Child Welfare Services, you can request to remain anonymous. PLEASE do not wait, and do not procrastinate. Imagine the tortures that child must be suffering and act right away.

The sooner you contact someone in authority, the sooner that the abuse (if any) will stop; it is NOT your job to ascertain whether or not it is happening but the MERE suspicion alone demands by law that you take action. Also, the sooner you act, the sooner that child can get the needed help and therapy to help her have a normal childhood and, hopefully, a normal adulthood and wellness.

The abuse may be at home, it may not; the abuse may be from a janitor where she lives or at school, some adult or older boy... you will not know and you cannot put a stop to the abuse unless you take immediate action. ACT NOW, DON'T WAIT, please.

Tell the principal now! Call the police! She is getting raped. It would be better if she got out of that house as soon as possible. Does she have a mother? If she does, then doesn't her mother know or even care about it? If it were me, I'll go crazy on her stepdad and scream my head off at him. But then again, you're a teacher. I still say contact the police. But I think you'll need evidence.

You should raise your concerns with the school counselor, the principal, the superintendent; heck, whoever you can get to listen to you. BE VERY CAREFUL. While I believe your assumptions are correct based on your observations, you have to tread very lightly because you and the school district could get sued by the parents depending on the laws in your state. Technically, child protective services cannot get involved yet because there is no complaint, and if there is a problem here it's crucial that this young girl speaks up about it without the appearance of coercion, coaching, etc. So unless you have an extremely solid rapport with this girl I would advise you not to talk to her about it yourself.

As a teacher you are required by law to report if you think a student is being abused. Tell your Principal or a guidance councilor and they should know your schools policy for these situations.

Call Child Protective Services. CPS - you are legally bound by your position to report your suspicions. It is up to THEM to decide if the case warrants further action. You will just report your observations and they will make the decision for follow-up.

IM sorry I have a hard time believing this is a real question.

In all US states.. Teachers are well trained in how to handle abuse and YOU ARE A MANDATORY reporter if you are a teacher.

If this is not real th en it is a sad thing to post this.

If you are a teacher its simple you and your school by law HAVE toi report it and if you do not you can be prosecuted later!
