1.)her getting the wrong idea
2.)she may anounce it to the whole family (sister is the friend of my crush)
3.)just imagine yourself in my place and you'll know how embarassing it is to ask your mother to go undergarment shopping...

Just simply tell her you heard boxers are more comfortable and you would like to try them to see for yourself.
I really wouldnt worry about if your sister knows or not your trying something new im sure she has tried different under wear out before.

first of all, measure you waste. after determining your correct size, ask mom for some money to go out and buy your own underwear (briefs). a boy/man, any age should be able to select his own style underwear. there should be no qualms about switching from briefs to boxers. i don't think yor mother or sister will give two figs what style you're wearing. all men have a comfort preference. you need to go with the preference and not fear how other significant people will react/respond.
i personally prefer not to wear any underwear. i truly like the feel of my genital area being free from undrwear confinement. this was a bit of a shock to my wife when we first started dating. however, she accepted my choice and i'm still practicing the wearing of no underwear. i, asl don't own pajamas for the same reason. i feel confined. what i want and enjoy is total nudity, whereever and whenever i can find the opportunity to practice it.

How old are you? Try getting a catalogue and put down a list of things you like. Slip the boxers onto the list and don't make a big fuss. Say they look more comfortable. Either that or find a make or colour that you can only find in boxers not briefs.

Dude, just quit wearing underwear. It is similar to wearing boxers except you have more freedom down there. Everyone can say what they want about your "package" getting caught in a zipper or skidmarks.... but just make sure your stuff is in your pants before you zip up and wash your jeans and shorts more frequently. It is not a big deal. This is what I do. Just throw a pair of underwear in your dirt clothes hamper every two days and your mom will never know.

Try this : "Ma, next time you buy me some underwear, get boxers, I'm switching".
If she announces it to your sister that is bizzare. If your sister cares, that is bizzare. If her crush cares, that's even more bizzare.
And what wrong idea can she get? This isn't some dark secret that you are revealing. And let me tell ya, you'd be wise not to show up at school in the lockerroom in tighty whities.

personally i can think of more things to be embarassed about.... just tell her straight out hey ma? i need to change something but i dont want u to say anything to anyone, because its embarassing, i want to change my underwear to boxers.... just like that... boxer-briefs are more attrative and prolly more comfortable, most guys i know dont like the swinging.... LOL but just tell her straight out, i bet she wont get the wrong idea and shed prolly be happy to.. i have a 12 yr old son and im only 28 so i know the feeling of both sides

Tell ur mom that u are embarrassed to ask for boxers but its just that ur older now and the breifs make u uncomfortable, i think she will be very caring, and then explain that u would be mortified if she told anyone and that if she did then u would never tell her anything again good luck xxxxx

get boxer briefs, they are a combination between the two, and really comfortabe. and you can get them almost any color. and you dont have to go underwear shopping with her, just tell her that you would feel more comfortable picking out youre own underwear
