there are many different facets to being a sex addict. The most common type is the one branded "nymphomaniac". That is where the person has to have sex all the time, usually more than once per hour. the other varieties are complicated, for instance a person who needs to have sex with multiple partners on a daily basis. There are reputable therapists that can help with sex addiction. But please be cautious when choosing one some are not so respectable if ya know what I mean.

My first relationship was a weird one. I met my first lover when I was 20 and he was 34. He was way out of my league but we entranced each other. He was really attractive and muscular, and I was hooked. Our relationship spanned 8 months. It was very on and off. It was afterwards that I realized he was a sex addict. He then admitted to sleeping with over 100 women - the # is probably higher, but the rough estimate alone is overwhelming. He seemed to have no real control over sex - he would have it with anyone and I begun to suspect that even his "friends" that were women were also his conquests. Before and during the act of sex was great, but afterwards is when he felt the guilt - which would soon go away. He broke up with me to date a lawyer - claiming her body odor turned him on - yes, body odor. He would talk about the new woman at work who had bent over in front of him to reveal a thong. He said he never intended to meet women, but they flocked to them. Every time I ran into him after that, he was with a different woman. He would date them for a few months, get tired, and move on. He told me once he would even have sex with a woman who had AIDS because we're all going to die someday. If I didn't talk about sex, he grew easily bored. It was the only subject that perked his interest. Hope this helps you.

If the frequent desire for sex/masturbation or the thoughts of sex or the act of sex/masturbation, is interfering adversely in their lives.
If you have sex 10 times a day and there is no problem, - no problem.
If you come back from your lunch break 10 minutes late because you were having sex or masturbating, then there is a problem.
If you grope women in your office there is a problem.
If your are cheating on your wife there is a problem.
Frequent sex does not mean a sex addict, but problem sex does

There is a difference between a sex addict and a nympho. A sex addict will have sex with anyone, anytime, and any place. They aren't worried about cleanliness or diseases at all. A nympho is just someone who loves to have sex , but they are usually more particular with the partners they choose. Most nymphos are in relationships and have a very healthy sexual appetite.

He's not a sex addict, he's an adulterer and you shouldn't have to put up with him. Kick him out.

Thinking about it 24-7 wanting it when ever theres a little spare time. If it's with someone you love and they want it as much as you do than it's ok, I think.

Depends I guess on how you would define it. If your late for church because you have to knock you a piece off then you might have a problem.
