Wow, good question.
I think we all can agree that historically there was an extraordinary person named Jesus, born in Bethlehem, who preached and taught many people, died at the cross and in doing so inspired the writings in the New Testament and Christianity. As for him REALLY being the son of God and God in one person, in the spiritual sense presented by Christianity, I think there are very different valid views that we should all learn to comprehend and respect. You should not believe or stop believing in something because everyone else does, but because you are actually convinced. I believe in being true and honest to oneself. Everything else will fall in place by itself.
